OUR STORY

We have been grooming dogs for over 10 years in the Bushey area, providing a high professional quality service and a friendly and relaxed environment for our customers and their dogs.

At Ulti Mutt Dog Grooming, we offer a convenient and stress-free experience for our customers when they drop off their beloved furry friends. Our friendly team members Richard, Sophie, Michelle, Scarlet, Rob,Hannah, Sarah, Jolie, Charlotte or Vaneeta will warmly welcome you and your dog. To ensure a smooth process, we kindly ask customers to bring any grooming instructions or preferences they may have for their pet's trim or style. Once you provide us with all the necessary information, you can trust us to take good care of your dog. Whilst you run errands or enjoy some personal time while our experienced groomers pamper your dog with the utmost care and expertise. When you return to pick up your canine companion, be prepared to see your dog looking fresh, happy, and smelling amazing!

Richard Bell

Richard has been operating a successful business for over 10 years. He specialises in breed standard grooming, hand stripping and scissoring.

Sophie Wilkinson

Sophie has always had a great love for animals and wanted to follow her passion for working with dogs so decided to go into Dog Grooming in 2019 when she gained her Level 3 City and Guilds qualication as well as canine first aid training . She first opened Ulti Mutt in Villiers Road along with Richard in early 2020. She specialises in grooming poodles, poodle crosses, Pomeranians and larger double coated breeds such as the Bernese Mountain Dog. As a proud owner of two Pomeranians, Lexi and Kobi, she understands first hand how important it is to find a groomer who you can completely trust to leave your dog with. She has a gentle, patient approach tailored to each individual dog. Sophie also offers Ultrasonic teeth cleaning and descaling.

Michelle Somerville

Michelle is Level 3 City and Guilds qualified and joined us as self employed, not long after we opened our first salon in Villiers Road back in 2020. After previously working in Corporate sales, she decided to pursue a career in dog grooming due to her love of dogs since getting her own Cockerpoo Ludo, who you may see wandering around the salon and in the summer months loves to sunbathe in the window who although is semi retired these days still accompanies his mum to work at times. Michelle specialises in poodle crosses, large breeds/ deshedding, hand stripping and nervous/ anxious dogs needing extra care and a specialised approach to help work through their behaviour and bring a positive approach to their grooming needs.

Rob Passalacqua

Rob (short for Roberta) has been in the dog grooming business since 2016 and is a qualified groomer who is also canine first aid trained. Rob started at Ulti Mutt as self employed at the start of 2023. She has four dogs herself: a springer spaniel, a miniature poodle a toy poodle and a Pomeranian. Rob has worked with animals all her life, from working in a pet shop to working in a rescue centre to now dog grooming. She particularly enjoys grooming Bichon’s, Pomeranian’s and poodles and specialises in breed standard cuts. She also offers teeth descaling, anal gland expressing and pet portraits.

Scarlet Wilder

Scarlet is Level 3 City and Guilds Qualified and started at Ulti Mutt as self employed in February 2023 after previously working as a dog walker and carer. She also has her own fluffy best friend called Cooper the cavapoo, who you may see in the salon time to time greeting both you and your doggies at the door.

Hannah Strugnell

Hannah joined the Ulti Mutt team as self employed in November 2023, after getting her level 3 IPET dog grooming and canine first aid qualification. She combines patience, creativity and her love for animals to help every dog look and feel their best in a safe and calm space.

Jolie Currie

Jolie has always been an animal lover and has owned animals right from the start of her life until now. Owning her two horses, dogs and previously a wide variety of animals. She originally went into equine care and management, due to the love for her horses but she qualified early and wanted more to do with animals. She decided dog grooming was right for her and took inspiration from her two family dogs, Dobbie and Blu who are now her Buisness logo mascots. She passed her dog grooming qualification and then ,got the opportunity to teach up and coming groomers which encouraged her passion for grooming even more and allowed her to be confident enough to go out on her own. She joined Ulti Mutt as a self employed dog groomer in January 2025 and she hasn’t looked back since.

Charlotte Richards

Charlotte joined the Ulti Mutt team as a self employed dog groomer in Sept 2024 after gaining her dog grooming qualification and canine first aid training. She decided grooming was the right choice for her due to her passion for dogs. She also has her own Cocker spaniel Reggie and offers Anal Gland Expressing.

Sarah Strugnell

Sarah is level 3 qualified as well as canine first aid trained and joined Ulti Mutt as a self employed dog groomer in 2024. She uses the finest products that are tailored to your dogs coat, cut and breed. Sarah is also a Reiki practitioner which allows her to bring a calm, holistic approach to every dog. Her goal is to always ensure every dog leaves looking great and feeling comfortable, cared for and stress free.

Vaneeta Bassi

Chloe Jacobs

Chloe helps Michelle twice a week, assisting with washing and drying as well as helping with reassuring and calming the dogs. She is amazing with all furry clients due to her love for animals and calming nature. Chloe is a valued member of the Ulti Mutt team and lights up the salon every time she walks through the door.

Louisa Winslet

Louisa joined us on work experience three years ago with a love for dogs. Louisa is now studying for her A- Levels and is a very valued team member helping on Saturdays and whenever else we can get her in without disrupting her studies. The dogs always love her calm and kind approach.
